What we want to do...

To teach the importance of good technical skills in both art  and commercial photographic practice.

To teach both film & digital photography.

To provide expert tuition (with top Irish professionals).

To use a co-active teaching process, where its all about your projects.

To work towards finished work.

To provide personal support.

Teaching the importance of good critical skills (And history of photography).

Using contemporary photographic practice as examples.

 Looking at and training in the role of post production.

To emphasise the importance of building a portfolio and promotion for artists and photographers.

In these  courses you will raise your technical photographic knowledge and more importantly help you find your own personal photographic  vision .You will be challenged, inspired and provoked into seeing things in a different way.
You will shoot new work and gain valuable feedback and critiques .Together we will eat, drink and sleep photography.
These workshops are aimed at those who are enthusiastic to improve their photography and find their own way of seeing.


Mike O’Toole (MA photography) has shown his work at The Art directors club of New york and in exhibitions in London,Barcelona and Paris. He lectures part time on the BA(Hons) in photography at IADT and holds a Diploma in personal life coaching. His work has been commissioned by Conde Nast Traveller and Washington post and has won several international awards including a Silver at the Aop, Archive,Communication Arts and the International photographers awards.In 2010 his project the shrinking horizons of childhood gained an honorable mention at the Bernice Abbott photo awards in America.He is established Photoparley, a meeting place for photo artists in Dublin.
These courses will be conducted by leading Irish and Uk artists, photographers and educators
